The Obelink River – a dome tent for bushcrafters

I bought this tent to replace my double “Dutch Army” Pup tent’s.

In my opinion the “Dutch Army” tents are fantastic, but my aging bones and back tell me differently.
The biggest problem for me was changing clothes, especially since the tent was at its highest point about 1 m – enough space and length, but not enough height for me – it would be different if I were 10 years younger.

The Obelink River tent is made of “technical cotton” which means that it “breathes” better than a tent made entirely of polyester. This also makes it much more pleasant when used in full sun or in a very warm environment. Furthermore, it is of course also waterproof and very nice to use all year round – even in winter.

The Obelink River tent has a height of 1.30 m, a usable area of 3.2 x 2.2 m, and has some important advantages for me that many other tents do not have, namely: almost all tents for which the outer tent must be set up first (a big advantage when it rains) do not have a full fixed groundsheet – you can therefore also use the Obelink River without inner tent , giving you one dry big space ! The inner tent itself also has a fixed ground sheet, so that the entire tent is better protected against water, and is also much stronger. When used with the inner tent, you have a front porch of about 1 x 2.10 m. In addition, comparable tents made from “technical cotton” from other brands are a lot more expensive, and they also do not have the above advantages. The Obelink River is also larger and higher than my “Dutch Army” tents, which in turn benefits my back. In short, the ideal bushcraft tent!
